Vision Stick™ (FS-M2X4GMSL2)

4x GMSL2 Camera-to-PCIe Bridge Card Featuring AMD’s Integrated mini- ISP

The Vision Stick is a compact, high-speed camera bridge card developed by Fidus in collaboration with AMD.

Don’t let the small size fool you. Vision Stick enables direct integration of up to four GMSL2 cameras into AMD Ryzen™ and other x86 processors via M.2 PCIe, unlocking high-performance edge vision in ADAS, robotics, inspection systems, and embedded AI.

Product Overview

The Vision Stick is a compact M.2 module that bridges up to four GMSL2 cameras to AMD Ryzen™ or other x86-based systems using a standard PCIe M.2 interface. Whether you’re building a driver-assistance platform, autonomous robot, or industrial inspection tool, this module gets video in fast.

Co-developed with AMD and built around an AMD Artix® UltraScale+™ FPGA, the card enables low-latency camera data ingestion and offloads processing to AMD’s mini- integrated ISP (Image Signal Processor). Compact, reliable, and software-ready — this board is the fastest path from camera to compute.

Vision Stick features

  • M.2 2280 Interface: A compact PCIe Gen3 M.2 2280 card designed for embedded and edge processing systems. Fully compatible with AMD Ryzen™ processors and x86 motherboards that support M.2.
  • Supports 4x GMSL2 Cameras: Aggregates four GMSL2 inputs via AMC4 to FAKRA adapters, with support for Power-over-Coax (POC) to simplify cabling.
  • AMD Integrated mini-ISP Compatibility: Optimized to take full advantage of AMD’s onboard Image Signal Processor (ISP), enabling real-time image processing and edge compute vision applications.
  • AMD Artix® UltraScale+™ FPGA: The onboard Artix US+ FPGA provides deterministic control and data preprocessing. Paired with a passive heatsink for thermal stability in embedded environments.
  • Power-over-Coax (POC): Reduces the number of cables required by combining power and video on a single coaxial line. Ideal for compact system integration.
  • JTAG Access: JTAG adapter board included (HD connector to AMD standard 14-pin 2×7). Ready for low-level development, debugging, and in-field updates.
  • Linux-Based GUI & Reference Design: Includes a user-friendly Linux GUI for previewing camera feeds and configuring the system. Both FPGA firmware and software are provided in source and compiled formats.
  • Drive it

Connect up to four GMSL2 automotive-grade cameras for prototyping or deploying ADAS platforms.

  • Inspect it

Build synchronized multi-camera systems for robotics, quality inspection, or automated vision.

  • Embed It

Integrate compact vision systems into x86-based edge devices using PCIe M.2.

  • Prototype it

Jumpstart development using our Linux GUI and FPGA firmware. Ideal for lab environments.
