Recognized for its work in industries such as medical devices, quantum computing, autonomous vehicles, embedded AI systems and satellite applications, Fidus achieved double-digit growth in 2023, successfully delivering over 213 projects. The company also deepened its global partnerships, including being named AMD’s 2023 AECG Partner of the Year for its expertise with AMD Adaptive SoCs, FPGAs, and embedded products.

Reflecting on this achievement, industry leaders shared their thoughts:

Kelly Daize, President of the Kanata Business Association, emphasized the supportive ecosystem in Kanata:
“Kanata North’s tech community is one of unparalleled collaboration and innovation, where companies like Fidus thrive and are a critical part of the supply chain. We’re proud to see local businesses succeed and make a global impact from right here in Kanata.”

Alan Coady, CEO of Fidus, attributed the award to the dedication and expertise of the Fidus team:
“At Fidus, our collective strength lies in the exceptional team culture we’ve cultivated and the incredible dedication of our people. Every team member brings passion and expertise, culminating in an environment where both innovation and collaboration thrive. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the Fidus team.”

Andrew Waitman, CEO of Assent Compliance and Fidus Board Member, reflected on Fidus’ journey and leadership:
“As a board member since Fidus’ inception, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the company’s remarkable transformation over the years. Under Alan Coady’s visionary leadership over the past five years, Fidus’ potential has truly been unlocked. Vicki’s steadfast dedication as COO for 15 years has been instrumental in driving operational excellence, while Scott Turnbull and Cameron Redmond, both with Fidus for over 22 years, have built a solid foundation of technical expertise and resilience.”

Fidus’ success is bolstered by its commitment to community engagement, contributing over $100,000 to local charities and supporting initiatives such as TEDx Kanata, Technata Hacks, and university co-op programs. This focus on social responsibility complements its reputation for technical excellence.

“We are honored to receive this recognition and proud to represent Kanata’s vibrant tech community,” said Alan Coady. “This award reflects the talent, dedication, and passion of our team, and we look forward to continuing to drive innovation in Canada and beyond.”
