Fidus’ Sidewinder-100™ FPGA board was recently used in a University of Toronto implementation to address debugging challenges in 100G and 400G networking. Since Wireshark is a well-known troubleshooting tool at networking speeds up to 1G, the authors of the paper designed FFShark; A 100G FPGA implementation of BPF Filtering for Wireshark. This work is easily extendable and applicable to 400G applications.
